Went on PUMA’s website the other day to take a look at their reaction to claims that Senator Barack Obama will be turning to Hillary Clinton to help him push back the wave of support for Governor Sarah Palin. According to their release, however, no matter what Hillary does or says, it will not change their dedication to keep Obama out of office. It is good to see that they won’t forget how the Senator and the Democrats treated women during the nomination process, but that isn’t what this posting is about. While there, I noticed an interesting story. The original Newsweek story helps explain that the Ex-Mayor of Detroit, Kwane Kilpatrick, has done some serious damage to Barack Obama’s credibility and his campaign for President. So what was “The One” to do?

That’s right, UNDER THE BUS goes Kilpartick and his endorsement for Obama. What myself and many others are noticing is that loyalty isn’t something Barack knows much about. Coming from the Democratic party, I don’t think it is a surprise, but this is much more than John Kerry going against John Edwards to support Obama. Ever since the nomination race, “The One” has been “knifing” everyone who threatened, in one way or another, to drag him down, something he reportedly mastered during his time in Chicago politics. With that said, let’s take sometime right now to examine others who received this treatment…

Reverend Wright, Trinity United Church and Reverend Pfleger – To start off this list, let’s start with this infamous Reverend Jeremiah Wright and how Barack threw away twenty years of friendship to protect his career. For those who read Dreams From My Father, you realize that Obama knew after his first service that Trinity United Church was a place of racial hatred. He goes as far as to quote the sermon and discuss his thoughts about the comparisons made between the Jewish people in Egypt during the reign of Pharaoh Ramses and the African-Americans in the United States. What is wrong with this? Well other then the fact that it is racist, as a politician, these “skeletons” belong in a “closet”, NOT in the MSM. For someone claiming to bridge the “colour” gap, if this ever made it to the front page, especially during an election year, it would be disastrous… And that is EXACTLY what happened…

When news about Trinity United Church hit the press, Barack Obama immediately responded to accusations, claiming that the sermons were taken out of context. As more and more clips were released, he still did what he could to defend Wright, saying that he never viewed what was being preached as controversial. Surely people would believe him right? Nope, not with all the clips of Wright’s sermons being played all over the MSM. With this threatening to sink his ambitions, Barack’s defense of his friend didn’t last too long and, just a few days later, Obama makes an admission that contradicted his earlier statements. Shortly thereafter, the Senator was doing everything in his power to keep his distance from his former friend and pastor, even calling his pastor’s actions unacceptable. With this, it is no surprise that Jeremiah Wright would come out and release his own statement after removing the knife from his back, a statement which Obama quickly responded too. A few weeks after this affair hit the press, after most of the damage done, Jeremiah Wright was forced to resign in order to keep Obama from leaving the church and this scandal from completely destroying its congregation. Did it work? Nope. Upon further criticism for having stayed in such a place for over twenty years, Barack resigned from Trinity United. The first, but far from the last people “thrown under the bus” to protect his political career.

Before we move on, however, there was one more person who ended up under Barack’s “tires” during this scandal, Reverend Michael Pfleger. Right before Obama and his campaign could “drive away” from this, Pfleger, another racist pastor (the white on white kind), gave his support for Wright, attacking Hillary Clinton and the media for making a political issue out of their bigotry. After a few“rock star” performances, some of which ended up in the MSM, there was nothing Barack could do, but back up his “bus” and try one more time to squash this whole affair under his campaign’s “wheels”.

Barack Obama’s Grandmother – Now if you think that the Wright/Trinity scandal was the first time Barack trashed his grandmother, you would be wrong. Ann Coulter helped point this out in a column she wrote on his book, Dreams From Mein Kampf… I MEAN My Father (an honest mistake, REALLY).

As Obama recounts it, on Grandpa’s third try at an excuse, he told Obama: “You know why she’s so scared this time? I’ll tell you why. Before you came in, she told me the fella was black. That’s the real reason she’s bothered. And I just don’t think that’s right”… How deranged would you have to be to cite this incident as evidence that your grandmother thought like a “typical white person” — as opposed to your grandfather being worthless and lazy? For those keeping score, Obama is aghast at his grandmother’s alleged racism, but had no problem with Jeremiah Wright’s manifest racism.

Now, I will admit that my grandmother can be a pain in the neck at times, but I have never, nor will I ever, publicly humiliate or slander her to protect myself. I don’t care what his excuse is, “blood is thicker than water” and that was just downright disturbing, ESPECIALLY after this woman raised him when his mother was off being deranged (why doesn’t Barack’s father love me? why did he run back to Kenya?). What was even worse is that he did it again. After hearing that first statement, how do you defend it? Well he tried, AND FAILED. Now if anything, I will have to say that “damage control” isn’t something he learned climbing the ladder in the Chicago political scene. Watching and rewatching this “train wreck” it isn’t hard to see that he couldn’t both save his and his grandmother’s reputation, but Barack should have kept her out of his own problems, let alone taken the hit from this scandal instead of letting “Gran-Gran” suffer. Moving on…

Tony Rezko and the City of Chicago – By now, everyone who knows politics, especially Chicago politics, knows of Antoin “Tony” Rezko. A former campaign supporters and close associate of Barack’s. According to various sources, including the Sun-Times and the Chicago Tribune, Obama and Rezko exchanged favours during his time in Illinois politics. For the most part, these stories were ignored by the MSM, obviously because of the damage it would do to Barack’s run for the Democratic nomination, as Media Matters stated in this article. It was only when Hillary Clinton’s campaign made it an issue out of Obama’s purchase of a house with Rezko’s help did people start to notice. Well, how was Barack going to handle this? The same way he handles all his problems, “throws them under the bus”.

Firstly, he denied any political connection to Tony, admit that it was a “bone-head” move to get financial assistance from the man under federal indictment, and hope no one made the connection between this and other favours the two did for each other. Next, dig up a picture of of Hillary and Bill Clinton with Tony, pointing to their alleged wrong-doing and ignore his blatant corruption, something the New York Times was more then happy to help with, further showing who they wanted on the Democratic ticket. Finally, hope and pray that the story goes away and that no one else wants to look into his political relationship with Rezko. Sorry Obama, the Republicans won’t let that happen…

Organizing a community in front of a “bus” may be a challenge to some, but not to “The One”. Once Tony Rezko was convicted in federal court on a variety of charges, including political corruption, he sets himself up to perform this “miracle”. Obama first comes out and says, “This isn’t the Tony Rezko I knew…”, granting him deniability to any wrong-doing brought up during the federal investigation. Sounds familiar eh? Well Glenn Beck thoughts so. Next, before anyone could make the link between Tony’s conviction and him, Barack holds a press conference and discusses the “evils” in Illinois and the corruption in the state’s politics. For those who might have forgotten, he IS an Illinois Senator, but that won’t stop him from throwing those who voted for him “under the bus”. Stay classy Obama…

Robert Malley – Now this wasn’t a story many would have heard, but let’s look at Robert Malley, Obama’s former Middle-East advisor. We all remember Barack discussing how he would meet with leaders from various enemy nations, and we can’t forget how he couldn’t decide whether of not Iran was a threat, but where did he get all this great advice? Robert Malley of course, a man who advocated meeting with organizations like the Palestinian Liberation Organization (PLO) and Hamas to bring about peace with Israel. For those who have forgotten, both groups have declared the destruction of the Jewish state as their prime objective, which doesn’t sound much like “love and peace” to me. So why would he push for talks with these terrorist, knowing full well what they wanted? Why it is because he has met with them on several occasions in the past…

Once this story broke, Robert Malley was “thrown under the bus” faster than you can say ANTISEMITISM. Having a history with the Islamic faith, “The One” has been trying to shake an image that he doesn’t like Israel, and having an adviser that has a history of talking with the country’s enemies doesn’t help. Why would anyone think Obama didn’t like Israel? Could is be that his former pastor gave sermons attacking the Jewish state? Definitely, and Robert Malley was only adding to this problem. When it hit the MSM, the Jewish community wasn’t impressed either, going back in his past and looking into Barack’s other associations, including one he had with pro-Palestinian professor Rashid Khalidi, a man Obama admits to knowing, but nothing more. At this point, it looks rather crowded under that “bus” of his…

*****

The question is who else could be “thrown under this bus”? With the announcement of Sarah Palin as John McCain’s running mate, and all the negative attention and smears coming from the far-left in response, anyone could end up under his “tires”, but one person in particular has gotten serious attention for her actions in the last few days…

Oprah Winfrey – It is no surprise that “O” would be in support of the “The One”, she did bring him on her show twice before, and helped him raise funds during the nomination race, but this all went against the political desires of her fans, most of which are Hillary Clinton supporters. Hell, Hillary edged out Oprah as the most admirable woman of 2007, so supporting Obama didn’t help her ratings. After what many believe was sexism on part of the Democrats, for Oprah to come out and refuse to have Sarah Palin on her show, women were outraged. Don’t believe me? After ABC news put their story up, the comments section ignited with infighting between her viewers. I think geodhanson said it best…

so why not interview her on a strictly personal level? there is plenty to cover there…her Down baby, her upbringing, her five children, her interests. How would an interview about those things help her politically? Oh thats right, Palin is actually likeable! … and that scares Oprah Obama.

Now, while Oprah’s statement is that she won’t use her show to support any candidate for president, remeber that she not only brought the Senator on her show twice before he announced his candidacy, not only did Michelle Obama come on during the Democratic nomination race (obviously to help reshape her image after her “proud” moment), but she has made no secret to who she is supporting for President. Let’s not forget she has thrown fundraisers for this guy, so I won’t believe she is fair and balanced when it comes to politics this election. How about that over-the-top performance she gave during the DNC? It isn’t just me who can see this hypocrisy, and with many believing that the media is behind Obama, we might see “The Big O” thrown off Barack’s bandwagon and “under his bus” in a desperate attempt to make himself look like a victim of “white” America (we all know he loves that “race card”). With what we have seen so far, this scenario isn’t hard to believe…

All in all, it is easy to see that this man doesn’t have even the moral values to be President, especially with all the back-stabbing he has done since his campaign started. I know that in politics trust is a sensitive issue, but I think it is plain to see that it isn’t something Obama is even concerned with. As Rudy Giuliani stated, “if I was Joe Biden, I would get that VP thing in writing”, and after going through this list, it isn’t hard to see why. With two month remaining, let’s wait and see how much more “mileage” Obama’s “bus” has, and who else ends up “underneath it”.

  7. [...] So what is the difference between Liberation Theology and Black Liberation Theology? Racism. James Cone applied the tenets of Liberation Theology to the “black struggle” and, as Black religion expert Jonathan Walton noted, “argued that Jesus reveals himself as black in order to disrupt and dismantle white oppression”. In his book, Black Theology and Black Power, Cone goes on to say things like, “To be Christian is to be one of those whom God has chosen. God has chosen black people” and “…simply to say that Jesus did not use violence is no evidence relevant to the condition of black people as they decide on what to do about white oppression”. These teachings caught the attention of Jeremiah Wright, Barack’s former Reverend. For twenty years Obama sat in the pews of Trinity United and listened to this, and only left after he dropped a few points in the polls against Hillary Clinton, as I reported in Barack’s back-stabbing.
