I actually was so bored today that I went out to the Huffington Post to see what the far-left was up to. It is actually pretty sad when you look at how they take whatever the Obama campaign says without question, even I don’t listen to everything the Liberal Party tells me. It is the same with the Catholic Church, I do my own research, I see where the weaknesses are, weight the strengths and I judge whether or not I should stand by them. I will report that this year the Liberal Party has downright disgusted me with the pick of Stephan Dion as our candidate. The man couldn’t even handle Environment Canada, and now wants Canadians to buy into Global Warming and a carbon tax. The “Green Shift” plan has shifted many Liberals to other parties…
Back on topic, reading through HuffPo’s posts, I came across a few which really disturbed me. Seth Colter Waters comes out after Fox News for trying to smear Barack Obama by claiming voter fraud. HAHAHAHA Oh God, it isn’t just Fox News Waters, CNN even caught your guy trying to cheat his way to a win in Ohio. Lou Dobbs ran a report the other night all about it, but I guess you didn’t watch. A nod to Hyscience for also catching the college students signing up the homeless for votes as well (I guess it is true, the dumbest criminals are those who video tape their crimes).
In any event, Waters writes the post asserting that Fox News, the Center for Media and Public Affairs’ 2007 most balanced broadcaster, was trying to smear Barack Obama. He asserts that Seton Motley’s assertions are incorrect, and that Barack Obama has no connection with Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now (ACORN) and what is his proof? The Obama’s campaign Fight the Smears page on the issue. Taking from a biased source like that not only raises doubts about his claims, but raises questions of his own credibility as well. Since this is the Huffing Post, I guess we can all say that credibility, or even integrity for that matter, isn’t something they worry about. While I was there, I read Arianna Huffington’s own post about the debate and she definitely is not only self-obsessed, stressing that she was at the Four Seasons Hotel in San Diego at Fortune’s Most Powerful Women Summit (do we care, no seriously?), but also out of touch with Americans, flaunting her status among society’s elite while failing to mention she got there on her knees and back (marrying a bisexual guy to get his money is her claim to fame), and not in the kitchen working hard to build an empire like Martha Stewart.
Why is relying on information from the Obama campaign not a smart thing? Well we all remembered his biography and the gaps of information reporters were finding right? Gabriel Sherman’s End of the Affair also points to the manhandling of information by the “The One’s” team. Well simply put, he has proven that the truth isn’t his best friend. Remember his reaction during the Rev. Wright scandal? Remember him “not remembering” that man as the bigot he was after spending twenty years in the “house that racism built”? Remember that he changed his mind about whether or not he had heard hateful remarks while attending church for all those years? I guess he didn’t read his own book where he quoted hateful rhetoric from his first time there attending mass, something he actually found “refreshing”. Truly a man who’s words can’t be trusted, and yet his followers do…
This kind of far-left zealotry is found is primarily in cults of personality, especially under socialist regimes. The censorship we find in the MSM right now, and the “Truth squads” running around America remind me of my time in China. The gentle nudges reminding me what not to say in class, what topics to keep my students from asking about, etc Why should Americans have to deal with this? No matter what his critics say, these people will not believe it, not even when the proof is concrete. Honestly, it is rather pathetic, and no matter how many times I see it, it still shocks me that these people are so naive about “The One” and his corrupt politics.
For all those who still refuse to see it, I can tell you from my experience in China that “drinking that Kool-Aid”, the following the Party line only leads to trouble. Don’t forget those he has sacrificed to further his agenda, and don’t think he won’t throw America under the bus if it will get him what he wants. He is already taking money from Moammar Gadhafi, Lybia’s Stalin, so I highly doubt there are limits on what we won’t do to be President. Think about that when you vote in November…
UPDATE: It is nice to see that Sarah Palin can handle herself around these cult-like followers. During a rally the other day, she gave a reply which put a heckler in his place.
Thanks for this post. I have some difficulties putting my thoughts into words, thus it is as simple as I can put it. Your write up is excellent. My hope is that Obamas’ followers can open their eyes and see, think, judge for themselves instead of blindly going with whatever is popular and glorified regardless of the danger ahead.
Thanks also for visiting my blog. I am so glad to read there are others with similar interest.
