Ronald Reagan passed the legislation which gave MLK a national holiday while President Bush opened up his cabinet to people of all colour. Matter of fact, his 2008 cabinet is the most diverse in history. Instead of playing identity politics with Obama, Republicans have actually allowed for real advancement.
