Joe under fire; A sign of things to come
October 17, 2008
After publishing my last article, Joe Wurzelbacher; The man who ended Barack’s dream, I turn on CNN to find “the most trusted name in news” has decided there is someone far more deserving of their ire then Sarah Palin. I have to say Anderson Cooper was the worst, attacking “Joe the non-plumber” (as he put it), reminding everyone that they should ignore what Barack said and attack this man because he isn’t what he appears to be. You then have David Gergen and Roland Martin, two of Obama’s biggest supporters on CNN, going on about how McCain should have vetted this guy. Excuse me? So let me get this straight, McCain should have done research into this guy’s history before repeating the point he raised on Obama?
Okay you twits, when should McCain have done this, before Obama let his Marxist beliefs slip, or after the debate where he hammered “The One”? No I don’t think he went off message, and I don’t think his reactions were too much. I haven’t spent any time around Obama, especially not three debate, and even I get upset when this man starts bending and breaking the truth. I am surprised John McCain maintained self-control, after Obama lied about his relationship with Bill Ayers, I would have called him a liar, pointed to the various CNN and Fox News stories which were reported about it, and then started demanding to know why he still surrounds himself with low-lives like Rashid Khalidi. Back on point, we see Cooper ignoring the importance of Obama’s “spread the wealth” comment and attacking the man who asked the question which raised it. Knowing Cooper, he probably has a “Chris Matthews crush” on “The One”, but it is too bad for him that Obama has a wife (not a husband Anderson). Back to the point…
Within an hour or so of the start of the media frenzy this morning, the Daily Kos had published Joe’s personal address. This comes right out of the Democratic handbook for intimidation, it is the same thing the radicals did when Sarah Palin was chosen to be John McCain’s running mate. Let’s not forget when the Alaskan Democratic party released Palin’s personal email address which lead to her account being hacked, something the press refuses to dedicate any serious time to. These attacks are simply vile, but it gets worse.
Other “Joes” like WTMJ-AM radio’s James T. Harris has received death threats from this deranged group because he won’t support Obama, “and did I mention he is black?” Just Google his name and you get these delusional followers of “The One” coming out and saying the vilest things about him, not just “sell-out”. Ericka Courtney, a WordPress blogger, decided to take the low road and demand to know why “Mr. James T. Harris not just get on his knees and service Mr. John Mccain?” I don’t care if you are a “sista from the hood”, you are a sad and pathetic individual, definitely not intelligent. As Alfonzo from machosauceproduction said, “it pains me to see y’all still on the plantation with chains on your brain”. If even Charles Krauthammer of the Washington Post can see that this and every other race-based attack on John McCain and Sarah Palin is perverse racism, why can’t everyone else?
In the same way, Joe’s livelihood is being threatened. An Ohio plumbers union came out and attacked Wurzelbacher for not having a plumbers license, which, in their minds, means he isn’t a plumber. It was Politico’s Jonathan Martin who let that fact slip, ignoring that by Ohioan law, he doesn’t need one. Something even Anderson Cooper forgot to mention, but by now we all know why. If he trains to be a plumber, does plumbing work for a plumbing company and even is looking into buying a plumbing company, HE IS A PLUMBER. Once again, I don’t understand this obsession they have with vetting everyone. You guys certainly didn’t look into Barack “closet”, but you are demanding everyone who even supports McCain to show you their “skeletons”? Talk about double standards… But I am sure being as well spoken as Barack is it is okay right? And did I forget to mention he “doesn’t look like those other presidents on the dollar bill?”
So as of now we have unions, the great socialist invention giving those who work less more money, and we have the MSM, the great liberal establishment, attacking Joe Wurzelbacher, what else could go wrong? Well it seems that the government is also out to get Joe, as the media would like us to believe. It seems Mr. “The Plumber” owes back taxes, and Bloomberg has decided that is more important than Obama’s “spread the wealth” comment. Honestly, many Americans have a lien on them, including Martin Nesbitt, the treasurer of Obama’s campaign, so what of it? You raise taxes, you keep those like Joe and Martin under more pressure, and then you force them out of their home and onto welfare, but that is Barack’s “American Dream” eh? As many have pointed out, this is all a distraction, something to keep people from examining what Obama said…
When Barack said “we need to spread the wealth around”, he was discussing one of the tenets of Marxism, to make everyone equal. Now Karl Marx was a fool, he ignored basic human desires when deciding that “Communism” would be the answer to all our problems. What has it accomplished? Well look at Russia, China, Cuba, Vietnam, North Korea, etc and try and tell me that it is the way to go. Wealth distribution undermines the “American Dream”, it destroys the “Free Market” and not only prevent people from moving up, but discourages it. As the Anchoress pointed out,
America just heard the President Presumptive tell them, essentially, “don’t dream too big. Don’t dare to dream too big, because if you do, we’re just going to chop you down to size, so that everyone is the same”… Americans does not like being told it can’t do something. They do not like being told not to dream glorious dreams. They do not like being told that excellence must subdue itself.
Why should you work when you are getting paid the same amount as everyone else, no matter your output? This is where welfare kicks in, and the abuse that system. In Canada, a “socialist Democracy”, we are having these troubles. Look at the cases in Nova Scotia and New Brunswick and tell me that is what America needs during tough economic times. It isn’t just there, but in many of the maritime provinces, welfare has become a drain on the system. It started off as a good idea, give those in the fishing industries money to support them when the season change and they can’t go out on their boats to make a living, but things went downhill pretty fast. Loop holes in the welfare laws meant that anyone who was out of work could apply for a sizable payment and simply live off the system. Why wasn’t the New York Times discussing that in their article on Joe?
The reason why people aren’t attacking Obama on this is because it would destroy his campaign. Who would want to vote for a “Bigoted Marxist” when you can vote for a “War Hero”? Instead of pointing the camera at Barack, where it belongs, they are sitting there demanding that McCain apologize for not “vetting” an ordinary America. You want to vet someone Anderson Cooper? Why don’t we just vet you then? Why don’t we questions your “objectivity” towards Barack Obama? Let’s do that, let’s guess as to why a person like you would support a “coloured” man… Maybe it is because YOU ARE SLEEPING WITH ONE! And I thought only HBO could make this about sex…
Doesn’t feel good does it? To be criticized for what you do and not what others have said now does it? Cooper and the rest of the MSM are just lucky that John McCain doesn’t play these games. As many have pointed out, he could have sunken Obama’s campaign through character attacks, through bring up all of “The One’s” past relationships with anti-American radicals and other questionable associates. What do we have instead? McCain trailing in the polls and the entire MSM targeting Joe Wurzelbacher for questioning Barack Obama’s tax plan. We have Joe Biden attacking Wurzelbacher in speeches, talking about how he isn’t a “real” plumber, forgetting, once again, that plumbers in Ohio DON’T NEED a license. We have Obama coming out and attacking Joe since there is “no way a plumber could make $250,000″, ignoring the fact that his tax plan doesn’t target companies based on profit, but revenue. You heard me, and even Mark Levin raised that last night, saying that the tax limit comes in before a business pays off its costs. How can even the smallest business operate with that kind of tax? We have been hearing it already, that many small business owners will not report their income to the government if Obama gets elected, knowing that they could under because of this hike in taxes. Why aren’t we hearing about this?
The fact is that CNN, CBS and the rest of the MSM would rather attack the common folk then look into the background of the man they decided should be President. What if their research teams spent half the time they spent looking into Wurzelbacher and Palin and decided to put Obama under a microscope? We wouldn’t even have a closer race, let alone an election if people actually sat down and read about how Barack is connected to Rashid Khalidi and Raila Odinga. Why not give the Democrats the same treatment you give the Republicans? Why do we need to spend time “on the right” to even get a real look at these issues? Why are those pundits like Lou Dobbs, who seemed almost radical with their positions on things like immigration now the “voices of reason” within an increasingly radical media?
Instead of answering the questions Americans want answered, they decide to play defense for a man who can’t even defend himself. They decide to attack all of his critics, hoping to somehow silence these legitimate questions, these reasonable criticisms, knowing full well that Obama can’t answer these questions, can’t give an honest response without ruining his political career. To me and many others this is all starting to look like a sign of things to come…
UPDATE: John McCain to the rescue. It is about time someone stand up for this guy, especially since all he did was ask a simple question. Why can’t Americans ask questions without being “beaten up” by Obama, Biden, and their supporters? Even Lou Dobbs tonight was demanding to know why Obama and Biden, two men claiming to fight for the middle class, would viciously target one of them for character assassination. Are they the kind of men you want running your country?
UPDATE: I have been following the developing story thanks to a few bloggers like Michelle Malkin. Vanessa Niekamp looked into Joe’s records at the request of Helen Jones-Kelley, an avid Obama supporter, because he was “newly famous”. This is all being tracked back to a reporter I believe looking for dirt on behalf of the Obama/Biden campaign… Urgh, for someone who claims to be “keeping his campaign clean”, Barack Obama sure is a dirty little chicken-shit isn’t he?
This is really very well written. Hats to you. (will make a trackback) The thing is, no matter how we slice and dice anything with the truth and facts right infront the Dem have a way of twisting and sculpturing it accordingly in their twisted mind which is a self imposed (super amnesia).
Happy blogging..northern thoughts.
