The last honest reporter; Barbara West takes on Joe Biden and Socialism

And the far-left radicals are LIVID! Joe Biden was hoping for another “soft-ball” interview with reporter Barbara West of WFTV in Orlando, but found himself answering ACTUAL questions. I know, a surprise, we are so used to George Stephanopoulos, Chris Matthews and Keith Olbermann swooning over these two, but it seems that there are still those who won’t give Democrats a walk. It isn’t that we haven’t seen this before, this isn’t the first time a reporter gave the Democrats a rough time this election. Obama has complained about Fox News’ coverage of him, stating,

I wouldn’t vote for me, right? Because the way I’m portrayed 24/7 is as a freak! I am the latte-sipping, New York Times-reading, Volvo-driving, no-gun-owning, effete, politically correct, arrogant liberal. Who wants somebody like that?

Well, this reporter wasn’t from Fox News, but an ABC News affiliate. Katharine Zaleski, Huffington Post columnist and partisan hack, didn’t both mentioning that in her hit piece this morning. This delusional twit must not have watched the Charlie Gibson, Katie Couric, Drew Griffen, and Brian Williams interviews if she is complaining about media “unfairness”. One HuffPo commenter is raving about how Barbara West’s husband is Republican, not applying the same standards to the rest of the MSM who themselves are registered Democrats. I think what really irks them is that West raised issues the left-wing wants buried…

With her first question, Barbara asked Biden whether or not he was embarassed by ACORN’s fraudulent attempts to register voters. Biden tried to distance himself from this by declaring it all false, even Zaleski was running cover for Smirky by restating that McCain had given a speech to an ACORN group a while back. Explain to me how that even compares to Barack’s ties to this group? Even CNN’s Drew Griffen reported on this, so the fact that Biden and others still deny it makes them look even more guilty.

The next two questions revolve around the now famous “spread the wealth” comment Obama made to Joe Wurzelbacher. Once again Biden denies it, almost to the point where he was say that his running mate never even made the statement. For those who forgot,I suggest you give it a look then and try to tell me that isn’t socialism….

Another ABC News video, so explain to me how this is all Fox News’ fault again? As Obama himself said, “I don’t want to punish your success, I just want to make sure everyone behind you, that they’ve got a chance at success too… I think when you spread the wealth around, it is good for everybody”. Look at how Wurzelbacher reacts, he looks as if someone just told him that his mother ran off with the postman, utterly confused and dumbfounded by the sheer stupidity standing in front of him. He is cringing at what Obama is saying because he understands what those words mean, he understand where this mentality comes from. Those words do sound like “from each according to his ability, to each according to his need” if you ask me. Once again Joe Biden goes off on a tangent about how it isn’t really socialism, saying that income needs to be made equal, giving a “so few have so much money and too many don’t” type of answer. That sounds like a Vladimir Lenin soundbite from the October Revolution to me, and we all know how that turned out. The fact is, I think West hit the nail on the head by asking Biden that question, this is all starting to sound overly socialistic, but it isn’t like we haven’t seen the signs already…

We cannot continue to rely on our military in order to achieve the national security objectives we’ve set. We’ve got to have a civilian national security force that’s just as powerful, just as strong, just as well-funded.

What the hell is a “civilian national security force”? Forgiving me for the Nazi reference, but that sounds awfully like the Sturmabteilung (SA). In actuality, this is probably Obama’s Schutzstaffel (SS), with the MSM right now playing the part of the “brownshirts”, especially the way they attacked Joe Wurzelbacher. For those who don’t remember the “Night of the Long Knives”, SA leaders were arrested and executed under the direct order of Adolf Hitler himself… Just a reminder to Anderson Cooper, Wolf Blitzer, Roland Martin and the rest of the reporters doing his dirty work, remember that these things have happened before, and history does tend to repeat itself…

Back to economics, many people are actually starting to worry about his plans for higher taxes on individuals with a gross income of $250,000 a year. This has translated in votes for McCain as Investors Business Daily has the race nearly a dead heat, 44.8% to 43.7% in Obama’s favour. Don’t take my word for it, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce (USCC), a non-partisan group within the American government, has begun funding Republican campaigns to prevent a filibuster-proof Senate. As the Wall Street Journal reported, the idea of full Democratic control terrifies them, especially now. This doesn’t come as a surprise to me, as I stated in previous articles, Obama and the Democrat’s plans for tax hikes would spell doom for the American economy.

Biden can spin this all he wants, he can desperately “laugh” this all off, but the fact of the matter is, people are starting to notice. Barney Frank let this slip last week (Don’t think we didn’t notice) indicating that “I think there are a lot of rich people out there who we can tax at a point down the road to recover some of this money”. As I have stated previously, “stealing from the rich to give to the poor” actually kills jobs, scares off business, and cripples economic growth, and these idiots are “sticking to their guns” on this. That is why West asked you about “spreading the wealth” being socialist, if not Marxist, you twit. Everyone is starting to worry that you and Obama are going to run the economy into the ground. These tactics were used in the Soviet Union, and look at how their economy turned out. Those are questions people want to ask you Biden, so you can’t simply lose your temper and accuse her of having a bias when your campaign has started raising “red flags” (communist red to be more precise) on important issues…

No matter what Katharine Zaleski says, this issue isn’t going away. You can go on the Huffington Post, Daily Kos, Democratic Underground and you will see that these people are simply livid. One commenter wrote, “This stooge is an excellent example of the sophomoric talent that exists in C-level TV markets”. Many of these people don’t get it, they refuse to analyze the question, actually listen to Smirky’s answers, and see that it was a fair question responded to with hollow rhetoric. Their anger proves that they are afraid of the fact that their candidates are showing serious weakness. Many of these people knew that what Biden was saying was a lie. Don’t get me wrong, I think these people are lunatics, delusional but not all stupid, and those with half-a-brain realized that these questions had exposed Joe as an “empty suit” to WFTV’s audience.

Why do you think Obama is demanding his supporters vote early? He wants to get their votes before they actually realize that “The One” has been lying to them, before more Barbara Wests and more Joe Wurzelbachers highlight their sheer dishonesty, especially Barack himself and his Chicago politics. I wonder how long it will take them to realize that even though Obama had announced that he would take time away from the campaign trail to visit his grandmother, it has been nearly a week and he is still giving speeches while “the white racist” is on her death bed. No surprise that he would use her to grab sympathy votes and then put her back under the bus… Disturbing…

Like I said, however, people are starting to notice this trend with the Obama campaign. ABC just released a report on how Obama has been keeping away from the Press as the election day gets closer and closer. It isn’t just Joe Wurzelbacher and Barbara West, but many are starting to see what path “The One” intends to take America down,

I think we’re wasting our time trying to convince folks that Obama is the Pied Piper of Hamlin. He’s already played his horn and the people are following him into Socialism.

I don’t think I could have said it better myself… Let hope that we see more interviews like this before election day. People need to see this socialist streak, and when they do, I guarantee that they won’t vote for “change” and “hope” when they can see it is actually “more of the same”…

UPDATE: Michelle Malkin and a few others have located a radio interview from 2001 where Obama discusses wealth redistribution. A history of socialistic behaviour is what it sounds like to me… No wonder the business community is getting worried…

UPDATE: I wake up to find many in the blogosphere have jumped on this like I have. Hot Air is not just reporting on the fallout from the Barbara West interview, but this new recording from a radio show Barack was on in 2001. Michelle Malkin reported on the Mario Lopez “slow-pitch” (or no pitch) interview with Obama, as well as another on her take on all this “wealth distribution” talk. Bill Dryer at Hugh Hewitt’s blog is also discussing the 2001 tape, and I know both Larry Elder and Mark Levin will be discussing this on their radio shows tonight. With all this attention, it seems these stories are starting to spread like wild fire… Wonder if CNN and other in the MSM will do the honest thing and report on it…

UPDATE: Michelle Malkin did an interview for Fox & Friends this morning, Hot Air has the story. They discuss the fallout over this Barbara West interview, the fact that Obama and Biden have refused to do anymore interviews with WFTV Orlando, canceling Jill Biden’s which was supposed to follow Joe’s, and then got to discussing whether or not we would see this kind of media blackout if the Democrats do take the presidency this election. Having been in “Red” China for nearly a year, I can say that I do agree that this screams socialism…

UPDATE: Democratic Sentaor from Missouri Claire McKaskill won’t even answer the question on “wealth redistribution”, let alone use those exact words. The Morning Joe crew asked her a few questions, and she couldn’t even answer them. As Allahpundit at Hot Air put it, “This isn’t even spin; it’s McCaskill putting her fingers in her ears and chanting to drown out the question”, a statement I completely agree with. The Morning Joe crew tried to look professional, but then gave this twit an out by saying it was poor choice of words, and not socialist rhetoric. What can we expect from MSNBC though, they are so far in the tank they are growing gills…

UPDATE: Reihl World View has found another interview from last Thurday which Biden did that didn’t go too well for him. As with the Barbara West Orlando WFTV interview, this CBS-3 interview asked Joe Biden tough questions which got the Philadelphia station banned as well. The article they refer to is this one by the Washington Times, and it looks to me that they didn’t “get their facts wrong” as some are stating. Unlike WFTV, CBS-3 caved and removed the interview from their website, fearing a backlash from the Obama/Biden campaign. It is a sad day when reporters are bullied like this… More signs of socialism if you ask me… Now Michelle Malkin is reporting on it…

UPDATE: Barbara West answers questions from CNN in response to this interview. She stood her own, even against Bill O’Reilly on The Factor, and honestly, good for her. It is about time someone in the MSM demand the answers to questions many of us have been asked for a while now.

UPDATE: Campbell Brown surprises us again. I would think that with other reporters in the MSM taking their marching orders from the Obama/Biden campaign, it is important we applaud those still willing to do honest reporting. While she doesn’t say it in words, one can infer that Brown did call Obama a hypocrite by going back on his word to accept public financing.
