Larry Elder and the Marx Brothers… Ends…
December 12, 2008
I will start out by saying that I am biased towards Larry Elder, especially since I don’t listen to either Doug McIntyre or Al Rantel, but I had heard the original debate between Elder and McIntyre a few times and I have to say that I wouldn’t want to waste my time listening to such a confused individual. Rantel, like McIntyre, is also delusional, and to hear about him asking Elder if he was proud that a black man has been elected President just dumbfounds me… And these two are supposed to be conservatives?
I have spent hours upon hours listening to Larry Elder, and while I disagree with his views on issue relating to freedom of choice versus common decency and morality (for example, his take on the legalization of drugs), I do agree with his beliefs on the problems facing America, socially, politically, etc With reference to Doug McIntyre, I honestly have to say that if I spent the time I did listening to Elder and Mark Levin and then I heard all this garbage about “Darwinian Capitalism” and how “evil Wal-Mart and China are”, I would consider all that time spent a waste of my life. He claims to be a conservative, and then discusses how he voted for Obama and why… Excuse me, but what have you been smoking? What is in the water at KABC?
I bring this up now because the situation has finally ended. Larry Elder has announced he will be leaving KABC after this Friday’s broadcast. One has to wonder what the impact of these events had on his decision to give up his show at that station, and while I can understand wanting to pursue other things after 15 years of being on the air, it definitely hurts to see Elder leave in the midst of this. While there will be others we can listen to, I have to say “The Sage From South-Central” was definitely my favourite talk radio host…
Don’t let these losers bother you Elder, they refuse to understand what is going on, not just in America, but around the world. I have been to China, I spent a year teaching in Nantong, I have seen how they envy our way of life here in North America. They asked me questions about politics, voting, capitalism, etc wanting to know more about what we cherish here, something that obviously doesn’t seem to matter anymore to “faux-conservatives” and “drone Democrats”. I can tell you that I was in your corner well before this happened, and I will be in your corner again should you be attacked the same way at your next job. It is a shame to see you go, especially when these morons are still on the air…
No matter what you do from now on, your fans will still be here… Take care and good luck…
I would have to say that seeing Anh “Joseph” Cao defeat Bill “Cold Cash” Jefferson was the political highlight of my week. Watching the political mess in Ottawa become more confusing is upsetting me as a Canadian, especially since I thought this issue was resolved a few weeks ago, so it is nice to see that the Republican party isn’t dying like so many on the far-left keep claiming. Michelle Malkin has a post up on her blog about Cao victory, as well as Hot Air’s Ed Morrissey, but we only see token reports in the MSM about this.
MSNBC ran their story, Cao Defeats Jefferson in Congressional Race, the other day spending the majority of this article discussing Jefferson’s legal troubles,
According to CNN, Jefferson has pleaded not guilty to 16 criminal counts of racketeering, bribery, money laundering and obstruction of justice. He denies any wrongdoing… In 2005, Jefferson’s private homes in Washington and New Orleans were raided, and FBI agents say they found $90,000 in cash stashed in one of his freezers… Officials say the money was part of a payment in marked bills from an FBI informant in a transaction allegedly captured on videotape. Jefferson also is accused of soliciting and receiving hundreds of thousands of dollars in bribes for himself and his family in exchange for promoting their products and services to countries in Africa, CNN reported.
We also saw the same treatment from CNN in their article, Indicted Louisiana Congressman Loses Re-Election Bid, only mentioning Cao very briefly at the beginning. Instead of discussing the impact of this man’s election on the ever changing face of politics in America, they give him only simple acknowledgment of his election win. While America and the rest of the world it seems has to swallow this garbage about Barack Obama breaking boundaries by being elected, many don’t want to even discuss the story of Anh Joseph Cao… Maybe it is because he isn’t the right “colour” or party…
If they won’t talk about him, then I will…
Anh “Joseph” Cao was born in 1975, right before the fall of Saigon. While his father was imprisoned in a North Vietnamese re-education camp for seven years, Joseph’s mother and siblings fled to the United States as refugees. After finishing school at Baylor University with a degree in physics, he became a Jesuit seminarian and then went on to Fordham University and received a degree in philosophy. While he originally was studying to be a Roman Catholic Priest, he went into law to help fellow church goers and Vietnamese citizens with their legal troubles. From there he joined Waltzer & Associates before leaving to start his own firm which specialized in immigration law. He only entered politics after the events of Hurricane Katrina, and now has become the first Vietnamese-American congressman.
Why couldn’t CNN or MSNBC discuss that?
As I have said previously, it seems if you aren’t black and a Democrat, you aren’t important, especially to the MSM. As Larry Elder has said numerous times, citing numerous black Republicans who have either been ignored or attacked, why not celebrate those like Colin Powell, Condilezza Rice and Clarence Thomas? Cao, while not fault of his own, has become the next “Uncle Tom” in the Republican party, an ethnic minority who they will criticize for being another “token” politician. I give it a few weeks before the Huffington Post and Daily Kos start calling him a “banana”…
A man who went from the fall of Saigon to political office in America should be the success story the Press fawns over, especially with the recent history between Vietnam and America. His election goes to show that even those who were seen as enemies can now be productive members of society if they want to be part of it… Not simply play the victim, using their race to get ahead… You won’t hear about Cao’s “yellowness”, that is for sure…
