Sheer Lunacy; What Has Happened?

I get up after sleeping in till 10:30, walking downstairs to have a glass of orange juice and a coffee, and I happen to see my mother watching CNN’s coverage of Barack Obama’s “historical” trip to Washington by train. Of course we see CNN sitting out in the cold, freezing their liberal bias butts off, and while I did take pleasure in that, I was disgusted to see how partisan a major news organization has become. I would honestly like to know when this sort of perverse partisanship was deemed acceptable? The same people who are praising this ceremony geared towards Barack Obama’s own narcisism, which is going to cost upwards of $150 million dollars, were criticizing President Bush when he spent $40 million in 2005 for his inauguration.  How many troops could we outfit with that kind of money Democractic Rep. Anthony Weiner? Just like I said to Charlie Turner in A Letter, these people are truly selective about their outrage aren’t they?

And how did we let this stupidity happen? Well many uneducated and easily swayed voters turned to celebrities and false-intellectuals to seek guidance, and it just blows me away that anyone could think of these people as being “pillars of knowledge”. Take Tom Hanks, celebrity and loyal drone to the Democratic Party…

As Michelle Malkin reports, in a recent interview, Hanks said that he believes that those fighting for Prop 8 are “unAmerican”.  It is called freedom Hanks, we are free to decide what we think about an issue, especially when it contradicts our religious beliefs (let’s not forget about religious freedoms, something these Hollywood types seem to ignore regularly).  Let’s not pretend, however, that this is the first time Hanks has showed his mental midgetry… Who can forget his “inspiring” MySpace/YouTube video where he goes into great detail about why he is voting for Barack Obama…

Yes you heard him right, good ol’ missteps, a misrepresentation of the facts and the constant references to his skin colour showed us why Tom Hanks is really voting for Obama… It was because he was black (well half black, but who’s counting?) and because electing someone of that skin colour would “prove” how far America has come since the Civil Rights era.  Not to be outdone, we have Spike Lee discussing America’s new capital, “Chocolate City”. What about Bruce Springsteen? Tell me Mr “The Boss”, how exactly did President Bush ruin lives? Of course he won’t give an answer, none of these mental midgets ever do, they only spew uneducated and unsupportable one line statements…

What about the new celebrities like former terrorist and still radical Bill Ayers? I made mention of this troll’s actions since the election before, but it seems his “fifteen minutes” aren’t finished yet. Why is it that this lunacy hasn’t been countered? Why can’t we openly counter it?  What does this say about our great societies?  You know what really irks me? It is that this man, this aged and senile monster, is friends with the new President.  What does that say about the man who will be leading the United States? I can tell you Abraham Lincoln never wanted to mass murder those who didn’t agree with him…

And who are we supposed to be emulating through all this?  Europe?  I keep hearing that we should be listening to British reporters and political analysts because their ideas and criticisms are “better” then ours. Excuse me? This from the country moving towards banning Plasma TVs (stone-aged CRTs are still okay, but for how long?) because of their obsession with Global Warming? This from the country that is now sending around “food police” to make sure citizens aren’t wasting any? This from the country who can’t control their Islamic problem so they try to tell us how to deal with ours? This lunacy is simply mind boggling…

So it appears that America has elected a man who they hope will bring about the “change” many people see in Europe, a continent which now seems out of control and absolutely internationally insignificant as they easily bend to the will of Russia, a country which has its own perverse agenda… Is it just me or didn’t we see this before? Socialism failed, and yet “The One” wants to give it a shot?  Capitalism has succeed, even China is gearing their country towards it after the failure of Maoism, but to us it is evil?

Breaking from the past or simply trying to recreate it? Sounds like lunacy to me, no matter which way the MSM spins it…

UPDATE: We know of Peggy Joseph, her delusion made her the poster child for the “Cult of Obama”, but what about Maryland State Senator Lisa Gladden? Allahpundit at Hot Air has the story on this one… So it doesn’t matter that her State is going bankrupt if Obama is President?  Talk about a “Magic Negro”…
