Found this on Mark Levin’s website, and I suggest you watch it at least once and really soak it in. Not only can we see how ignorant Phil Donahue is (should have put him on my list), but we also get a good explanation as to why capitalism is a much better system then socialism. As Milton Friedman noted, those in politics are no more noble than those involved in the free market. With all its flaws, “capitalistic greed” still leads to job creation and an increase in individual wealth. I would go even further and say that those in politics, especially these days, lack any sense of nobility…
Simply put, Barack Obama’s transition to power has been a disaster. There is no excuse for the “quality” of candidates for positions within the administration. Fueled by “greed” himself, Obama had promised many of these people political favours for their support, support which he has had to cut short when public opinion has shift against him. When Tom Daschle was found to have cheated on his taxes, Obama originally stood by him, but that all changed when the story got out. It was only a day after this announcement that Daschle himself said that he was dropping out of the race. You really have to wonder whether or not “he was falling on his sword” for Obama, doing as he was told to protect “The One” from further embarrassment, something a few people have pointed at. Then again, for a man who said that the “IRS should enforce our laws to the letter”, it does look bad when he himself is one of those “cheating us all”… There is more though…
This whole “appointment watch” all started when Timothy Geithner, Obama’s pick for Treasury Secretary, was revealed to be a tax cheat. Sure he apologized, but then blamed Turbo Tax, a truly classless move on his part. When he was finally appointed, many Americans felt betrayed by Obama who had promised “an end to the old ways”, a promised to end Washington’s “business as usual”, which now seems to have been usurped by “Chicago politics”. Shortly thereafter, Caroline Kennedy was revealed to have cheated on her taxes, among other things. While her inexperience was the key factor in ending her bid for Hillary Clinton’s Senate Seat, this was another slap in the face. This isn’t the end though, as it would be revealed that even Nancy Killefer, Obama’s pick for Chief Performance Officer had these problems. On the same day Daschle stepped down, she quietly walked away for the very same “tax cheating” reason. This isn’t even taking into account Charlie Rangel’s “inconsistencies” or the fact Obama’s pick for Secretary of Labour, Hilda Solis, who’s husband just paid off his sixteen year tax lien. As Michelle Malkin stated, Does anyone know how to pay taxes in the Obama White House?
Let’s not stop there, we also have to address Eric Holder and Barack Obama himself. As stated before, Obama’s Attorney General is a senior partner to a law firm which represents 17 Yemenis who are currently being held at Gitmo. If they are let out of the detention center, it will put money in Holder’s pocket LITERALLY, giving him one reason to support Obama’s decision to close it down. If this isn’t a clear sign of political greed at its finest, I don’t know what is. With that said, Obama’s own lust for power has forced his hand on Abd al-Rahim al-Nashiri, dropping the charges against the mastermind of the USS Cole bombing. This is obviously a political move, a way of appeasing his radical supporters after nearly losing their support over a few broken promises, which includes his inability to quickly end the War on Terror. There are those who will even use this to support their belief that Obama is a “constitutionalist”, ignoring that not only does “The One” dislike the Second Amendment, but clearly doesn’t understand the Constitution itself, arrogantly applying his own political perversion to various amendments to push his own warped agenda. As I stated previously, this is the same man who stated during a regular session in the Illinois Senate in March of 2001, that providing aid to born alive babies would be “crossing the line of unconstitutionality” (page 87, lines 7 and 8). There is more about Obama’s views on abortion, but let’s stay on topic. How can this man lead a nation when he is only looking out for his own interests, social and political?
Obama can keep talking about how he was elected to “bring change”, but all we see is “more of the same”. This is why Jack Tapper tore into Robert Gibbs over transparency, because it is getting to the point where even the MSM can’t handle all this bullshit. There are journalists who are starting to question the integrity of this administration when it is having so much trouble just getting started. And when faced with all this incompetence, what does Obama do? Instead of standing firm, instead of ACTUALLY BEING A PRESIDENT, he runs off like a coward. Let’s not forget that every time he insults former President George W. Bush for “mishandling” America. At least Bush didn’t runaway, and he had to deal with the September 11 attacks…
Let’s also remember this when Obama rails against Wall Street for its “greed”. As I clearly pointed out here, that hypocrite “doesn’t have a leg to stand on”. As Friedman asked Donahue, is it really true that political self-interest is nobler somehow than economic self-interest? With what we can see at the end of ONLY three weeks of “The One” being in office, it is clear that such nobility doesn’t exist in his administration.
So much for Barack Obama’s “hope and change”… Only the drones can still believe that bullshit with all the evidence of his own corruption still piling up…
UPDATE: Speak about greed, Obama is demanding television networks give him some “prime time” time to push his political agenda through. According to NewsBusters.org, the president wants at least an hour for the next three weeks from each big broadcaster to speak to the public about a variety of “stimulus” related topics. This will cost the networks millions of dollars, but many are afraid to simply say no, fearing repercussions from the “Dear Leader”…
Someone should inform Obama that this is a recession, and even television networks need to make money… If only Friedman could see America now…
UPDATE: My friend Kirk is at it again. Here is his newest post, I am recommend my readers give it a look.
UPDATE: A new poll at Flopping Aces wants to know what to know what its readers think about Obama’s erratic and clueless behaviour lately.
UPDATE: Michelle Malkin has another name to add to the growing list of “business as usual” politicians. Democrat David Obey’s son lobbied for National Parks Conservation Association (NPCA), which will received a $2 billion earmark. Politics as usual it would seem…
Those is power simply writing themselves and family members checks… Ah, the nobility of political greed…
Great post!
