If you missed the Super Bowl last night, where the Green Bay Packers beat the Pittsburgh Steelers by a score of 31-25, NFL.com has all the highlights and post-game analysis you need. If you missed the commercials, here are some of the best that were shown.
John Sexton had two of the commercials up on Hot Air earlier last week. Definitely worth the money to put them together and put them on television during the Super Bowl.
Being a Star Wars fan, I really enjoyed the first commercial. Being a Transformers fan, I was a bit worried that this would be the only advertisement for the next film, Transformers: Dark of the Moon. Oh how wrong I was…
My favourite comment on this comes from TheDownshift at Seibertron.com.
Just saw the trailer.
I’m gonna go have a smoke, towel off, and confess to a priest.
It wasn’t just the new Transformers movie that was being advertised. There were many other commercials for movies, but, being a Captain America fan, I was really looking forward to this one.
I have been following the news on Captain America: The First Avenger, so I’m glad it looks as good as it does. This is, however, just a movie trailer and I reserve my judgment until I see the final product.
Here’s the second Chevrolet Camaro commercial, “Miss Evelyn,” which doesn’t feature Transformers.
This one from Coca-Cola was also a hoot.
As always, most of the Super Bowl commercials were downright enjoyable. There are many more, but I just wanted to put up my favourites. If you want to see them all, Superbowl-Commercials.org has the rest from this year, as well as the best and worst from years past.
That’s one of the best things about the Super Bowl. If you aren’t a fan of the sport or if you don’t like the teams playing, you can at least enjoy the advertisements during the commercial breaks.
